2004 - Apartment Tower, Sydney, NSW, Australia
Stage: Competition, did not proceed

Competition: Concept design for an inner-city apartment building. Design was announced as the successful entry, although the project did not proceed

Space planning has led to a highly cost-effective design with just two standard floorplates, incorporating two variants each. The design absorbs the neighbouring open space, which is currently locked away from the public, and is not maintained. As a result the public gains access to green space in the city, and residents gain a soft, green entry to the building. Massing and apartment layouts orient the building across the neighbouring park to maximise the vista and the feeling of openness in the middle of a very dense area of urban fabric.
